This is Mary and we are checking in. Looks like we will be arriving
around 8 ish.

Last day!

We had a great last day! We worked at the food bank again then went
to to fishermans warf for a while. Tonight we joined together with
the youth group from concord.

Later we met in the sanctuary and sang some praise songs around the
piano then had a share time.

It was awesome to hear all the things God is doing in the lives of our
kids. God has really brought this group together on this trip. :)
Tomorrow we will pack and head back. Please pray for safe travels!

Orientation for our projects today. Repackaging Capri suns and and
beans!

Tuesday

Today was really amazing. Its 2am and I am finally getting a chance
to write an update before going to bed.

This was our second day downtown sf. Our students really made an
impact today! We:

- went on trips handing out bags of chips and praying with people in
the area

- cooked food for the mission

- served food at the mission

- sorted through clothes and donations for the thrift store

- collected donated food from area grocery stores

- delivered bread to apartments and hotels

- worked on the remodel of the church

Our group really stepped it up today and made a difference in so many
peoples lives.

Tonight we had a great devotional time. We took turns telling our
story.... How we became a Christian, why we are a part of this youth
group, etc..etc. This trip has really been a great connecting time for
the whole group. I have really been able to get to know our students
better. They are great kids... They represented God and the church
extremely well today!

Tomorrow we will head to the food bank to finish out our trip! Keep us
in your prayers!

City impact

We spent the majority of today working in the tenderloin area of San
fran. Our students worked in a thrift shop sorting clothes, prayed
with residents and the homeless, and much more! Some prepared and
served meals at the mission and some gave away food on the street. We
are returning to the area tomorrow. I have been posting from my phone
so my post have been short! Hopefully tomorrow I can write more from
a computer.. This trip has been really awesome!
